“GIVERS GAIN”
There is a very good reason why FIBO volunteers come back every year and give of their time. The reason is simple, they figured out a way to maximize their experience by becoming a part of the event. It’s the difference between watching and participating!
The Black AIDS Institute in conjunction with the Black Gay Men's Network, and the Fire Island Black Out (FIBO) need your help fighting HIV/AIDS and saving lives in our community. African Americans represent nearly half (45%) of all the new HIV infections in the United States, and 50% of the annual AIDS related deaths in the U.S. are Black. Together, we can make a difference and STOP these numbers from getting worst!
What can you do to help?
We need volunteers to help distribute materials in: Houston, DC, Miami, New York City, Chicago, Los Angels, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and, of course, during FIBO * X in Fire Island.
